Earlier when you got the chance to read over our company story, we told you how thrilled we were when our supplier introduced us to the American Shea Butter Institute. Let me tell you why they are so important to us and to you as an informed consumer. The American Shea Butter Institute provides Consumer and Industry Education on Shea butter; establishes voluntary standards on quality of Shea butter entering the USA; engages in basic and applied research to identify Shea butter ingredients or derivatives of its ingredients as new solutions for important problems in nutrition, health care and material science; and promotes the benefits of Shea butter in various US industries. This is the organization that we’ve needed in this industry for such a long time. At the Institute, they classify various Shea butters imported from Africa in one of the following classes: Class A, Class B, Class C, or Class F. Where class A is Premium
Shea Butter, while class F is poor quality Shea Moisturizer. Know what you are buying. We carry Grade A Shea butter only. We are working on the seal of approval. Once we do, we’ll let you know. Thank You.
